The relationship between burnout levels and mindfulness of university students-athletes

Background and Study Aim. This study was conducted to examine the relationship between burnout levels mindfulness of students who are active athletes. Material Methods. Descriptive analysis correlational research model were utilized in study. As data collection tools study, "Personal Information Form" including demographic information requested at first. Two scales used: The "Athlete Burnout Scale," developed by Raedeke Smith adapted into Turkish Kelecek et al.; Mindfulness Thienot al. Tingaz. group consisted a total 378 people, 96 women 282 men, selected random sampling method, actively practicing sports. In t-test used for pairwise comparisons ANOVA test multiple comparisons. Pearson Correlation determine levels. Results. it found that there significant differences depending on gender variable some sub-dimensions branch variable. addition, determined negative Conclusions. sports with high had lower burnout, indicating may play role reducing burnout. While based age sport type, overall did not differ significantly.
